Colossus Technologies Group is a veteran-led services firm founded in 2021. We bring defense-grade rigor to civilian technology programs — advising, engineering, and staffing across healthcare, government, AI start-ups, technology, manufacturing, transportation, and medical devices.

Our story

Built from the intelligence community.

Colossus was founded in 2021 by leaders with operational experience at the National Security Agency, U.S. Cyber Command, and U.S. Pacific Command. After our defense careers, we built and led technology programs inside commercial enterprises — learning firsthand where the mental models diverge between defense and commercial work, and where they converge.

What stood out was the gap. Commercial security and technology programs were frequently under-engineered for the actual threats they faced, while simultaneously over-indexed on compliance theater. Meanwhile, the operational tradecraft that kept intelligence-community systems running was entirely absent from most firms advising enterprises.

Colossus was built to close that gap. The firm is privately held, veteran-led, and designed to stay lean. We take on a deliberately small number of engagements each quarter. Depth matters more to us than headcount.

A technology operator with more than a decade of experience spanning the intelligence community, defense, and enterprise cybersecurity. Before co-founding Colossus, Kort held technical roles at the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command, led security programs at Johnson Controls, and worked in R&D at Forcepoint. He leads the firm's services arm — cybersecurity, AI, and data governance — bringing operator-grade rigor to civilian technology programs.

Mark runs Colossus's staffing practice and leads the firm's sales organization. He's the commercial engine of the business — the one turning conversations into engagements and building the client relationships that compound over time. He brought an established enterprise book of business to Colossus and has kept it growing through direct client work, honest matching, and a reputation for doing what he says he'll do.

Liam co-leads recruiting and runs the operational spine of the firm — finance, contracts, systems, and the internal business development that keeps the pipeline full. He's led delivery on major enterprise engagements and is the person holding the thread when a client, a contractor, and a back-office process all need to line up at once. If the firm is running, Liam is making sure it keeps running.

A decade of enterprise technology sales experience leading outbound motion and client accounts. Adrianna drives Colossus's sales engine and oversees staffing delivery — the rare hybrid of hunter and account lead who can carry both the pipeline and the relationships behind it. She's the person clients call when something needs to move faster.

Gary specializes in cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering placements. His roster of placed engineers has made "ask Gary first" an internal shortcut at Colossus. Before recruiting, Gary spent years as an infrastructure engineer — he knows the roles because he's held them, and his candidate conversations show it.

McKenzie covers AI/ML and software engineering searches, with a focus on growth-stage companies making their first five to ten senior hires. She built her practice on long-tenure placements and candidate relationships that outlast any single search. She's the person candidates call two years after an offer to talk through their next move.

Virginia leads Colossus's privacy, GRC, and AI governance practice. She's built WISPs for Massachusetts-regulated entities, stood up HIPAA-compliant data-handling programs in healthcare, and drafted AI acceptable-use frameworks for enterprises moving past pilots. Before Colossus, Virginia held privacy and compliance leadership roles at technology services firms.

Lavinia manages business operations at Colossus — inside sales, client relations, and the operational systems that keep the firm moving. She joined in 2025 after more than three years at VerSprite Cybersecurity in combined office-management and inside-sales roles, and brings a sharp operational instinct to a team that values people who just get things done.
